How to rotate a photo in Luminar 3

Rotate images 90 degrees

In Luminar 3, you can rotate a picture 90 degrees by choosing Rotate from the Image menu. Then choose the direction of rotation: Rotate Right (clockwise, CW) or Rotate Left (counterclockwise, CCW). You can use shortcuts to save time: Ctrl+] to rotate right and Ctrl+[ to rotate left.

Rotate images with a specific angle

Luminar 4 allows you to rotate images at any angle you need. To do so, choose Crop and Rotate from the Canvas menu. You can rotate the picture by dragging it by the corners with the mouse. Alternatively, click the Angle value and a slider will appear that allows you to fine-tune the angle of rotation.

Crop images after rotation

After you’ve rotated a photo, you’ll need to remove empty corners. Choose Crop from the Tools menu to crop the image. You can lock the aspect ratio to avoid any distortion. To get a perfect composition, the Crop tool has guide lines matching the rule of thirds and the golden rule.
