Perfect composition along with accurate horizontals and verticals is a challenge for every photographer. Even the best camera can’t guarantee an ideal shot, which is why Luminar 4 compensates for any lens and perspective distortions.
The Lens tab allows you to fix flaws in your photos caused by lens distortion. This tab includes Distortion, Chromatic Aberration Fix, and Defringe sliders. Plus, you can use the Devignette slider to remove darkened areas from a photo.
The Transform tab allows you to compensate for perspective problems caused by the position of the lens at the time of capture. Settings include vertical, horizontal, rotate, and aspect, all of which are essential for an excellent RAW editor.
Clicking on the crop tool brings you[c] to the crop screen, where you’ll see that your photo is divided into a horizontal and vertical grid of thirds. Using the principles discussed above, you can rotate and straighten your photo or drag the corners to shape a new image with new verticals and horizontals.
