General Updates
Fantastic news! The third generative AI feature is available in the Luminar Neo 1.17.0 update. Let’s learn more about this powerful tool and the many other improvements you’ll discover in this version.
Exclusively for Luminar Neo Subscribers and the 2023–24 Creative Journey Pass owners:
GenExpand allows you to extend the boundaries of your photos, adding a new dimension to your original compositions. Simply drag the edges of your photo, and GenExpand will fill the new space with realistic AI-generated visuals that match the surrounding scene. Now you can widen a panoramic landscape, break free from traditional aspect ratios, or add extra breathing room to your favorite photos with ease.
MacOS
Experience smoother performance of the Neon tool when using it in freeform after outlining an object. And we moved the boost slider for Denoise and the foliage hue slider for Landscape to a higher lever from the Advanced section, so they’re at your fingertips whenever you want to use them.
We’ve added tips to GenErase to help you learn how to get even better results with this tool, plus you can now scroll the tips in all generative AI tools for reading convenience.
Now there’s support for new cameras: Nikon Z f (Note: standard/lossless compression only), OM System TG-7, Leica M10 Monochrom, Leica M11 Monochrom and Leica Q2 Monochrom.
On top of that, we’ve reduced the size of the Luminar Neo build, so you can experience better overall performance and stability when working with the program.
As always, we’ve caught and fixed some bugs for an even more enjoyable editing experience. Install this update and try it out for yourself!
