We’re excited to announce that the newest version of Tonality Pro, our black and white photo editor, now supports Adobe Photoshop Smart Objects! This has been a frequent request by those photographers who want the ability to re-edit images they’ve created earlier in Tonality. The new version also brings a number of other improvements and support of new languages.
There are many advantages to working with Smart Objects in Photoshop, the most important being that your edits are non-destructive and so you can go back and make changes to your image. Working with Smart Objects saves time and allows for more creative experimentation. For more information and tutorials on the topic of Smart Objects, visit the Adobe page.

We've also added language support for German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese, making Tonality a truly "global" product! Additional features included in the update are a new Straighten image tool, improvements to the Clarity tool which protects highlights and an enhancement to the Lens Blur tool that enables a creative and “dreamy” look for photos.
The new version of the app is available to all owners by selecting “Check for Update” in the Tonality Pro menu. A Mac App Store version will be released in mid-September.
What makes Tonality different from other black and white photo editing apps? Tonality supports 16-bit RAW images and includes a complete set of darkroom-inspired features. It also features over 150 one-click Presets, stackable Layers, organic-style Texture Overlays, Adaptive tuning controls, Brushes, Social Sharing and more.
