Darlene takes a lot of portraits, so she designed these Templates to quickly and effectively edit portrait images.
Whether you do formal portraits in a studio, candid shots, or posed street portraits — or photograph faces of the world on your travels — these Templates will help you minimize your editing time and add a stylish look to your photos. They were inspired by Darlene’s own style and editing preferences, which lean toward high contrast, rich colors, and smooth but not overdone skin retouching. Make your model the star with images that make them pop!
Templates included in this collection:
Antique Touch — A sepia look with rich browns and desaturated colors ideal for images you want to give an old-world feel.
Hollywood Heyday — Turn your portraits into high-contrast, rich black and white images like those of the silent film era. Great for studio portraits and dramatic shots.
Golden Light — This Template was designed for backlit images and those shot into the sun, but it can be applied to any image. Just scale the Template back to 70% or less to lower the overall effect.
Sunset Magic — Designed to add warmth and pizazz to environmental portraits, this Template also includes a custom sky replacement.
Perfect Headshot — Designed for business portraits and close-ups to provide a boost of contrast and flatter the model.
Glamour Glow — This template is great for portraits of ladies and babies where softer skin and glamorous effects are desired.
Ghoulish Grunge — A stylized look for urban portraits that has a cool but super contrasty feeling. Great for character portraits.
High Key — Light and airy, this Template is made for images with light tones and pastel colors.
Low Key — For portraits with mostly dark tones and backgrounds and a strong lighting ratio or contrast.
Bokeh Bliss — This dynamic Template includes a custom texture overlay full of bokeh. Flip it and adjust it to fit your image. Works well on romantic shots or any image to which you want to add an ethereal feel.
Note that the default effect of a Template may be too strong for your photo. If that’s the case, simply reduce it a bit using the Strength slider. These Templates use color gradient textures. You can easily adjust the position of the textures in the local masking tools.
