Tip One: Be Aware
Keep both eyes open behind the camera
Do you tend to squint or close one of your eyes when looking through the viewfinder? By keeping both eyes open, you’ll be able to see more of what is happening around you. You might see something happening over to the side that is even more interesting than what is in front of you!

Tip Two: Be Connected
Focus on the eyes
As the saying goes… Eyes are the window to the soul. We tend to look at the eyes first, so make sure the eyes of the animal in your image are in focus.

Tip Three: Be Patient
Wait for the moment to happen
This is probably one of the most important tips for being able to capture that special moment. Yes, you can get lucky with the first shot, but more times than not, it will take waiting and watching, especially since wild animals have their own agenda. Have patience and you will be richly rewarded.
Take the time to wait patiently with your camera ready!
