This year, Skylum, WDC (Whale and Dolphin Conservation), and Viewbug have joined forces to recognize the importance of our oceans, and inspire action to protect the whales and dolphins that call it home.
AIWorld Oceans Day was June 8, 2021 but we’re celebrating all month long! This year, Skylum, WDC (Whale and Dolphin Conservation), and Viewbug have joined forces to recognize the importance of our oceans and inspire action to protect the whales and dolphins that call it home. Find out more at www.skylum.com/oceans.
From the oxygen we breathe to the inspiration the ocean provides artists to capture its beauty, we ask you to join us the entire month by supporting WDC - an incredible organization and worthy cause that’s truly making a difference.
Planet Earth needs healthy oceans. And healthy oceans need whales and dolphins. It isn’t enough to conserve species, populations, and individuals. We need to restore their ocean environment and allow populations to recover to levels that existed before industrial-scale whaling and fishing devastated the oceans.
Our goal is to raise awareness via www.skylum.com/oceans and produce a sizable monetary donation to help WDC with a number of important projects. We’ve put together a couple of special bundles of LuminarAI and will donate 20% of sales to the WDC. Of course, if you own our software already, you can donate directly - it really does help!
We kicked off the festivities with an enlightening “Fireside Chat” on June 7, hosted by Frederick Van Johnson of This Week in Photo. After a special welcome by Skylum CEO, Ivan Kutanin, Frederick talked to Chris Butler-Stroud and Charlie Phillips of WDC as well as travel photographer Elia Locardi. Watch the replay below!
Our friends at ViewBug are also hosting the “Exploring the Ocean” photo contest. Click here to enter today! You could win a GoPro HERO9 Black & Floating Hand Grip, a signed copy of ‘On a Rising Tide’ by WDC field officer and award-winning wildlife photographer, Charlie Phillips, a ViewBug Blog Artist Interview, and more!
