Does Luminar Prime include access to the Luminar app?
No. Luminar Prime does not include a license for the Luminar app on any platform. It is designed strictly as an add-on subscription for existing Luminar license holders.
Can I cancel the Prime renewal? What happens if I cancel?
Yes, you can cancel the auto-renewal for your Prime subscription at any time through your Skylum account.
After canceling, you will retain access to all AI tools (such as AI Assistant, GenErase, GenExpand, GenSwap, and Restoration) as well as Prime assets and video courses until the end of your paid period. Once it expires, you will no longer have access to these features.
However, all other tools, including those that were released during the active subscription period, will remain yours forever.
Can I pay monthly?
Currently, we only offer annual billing. When placing your order, you will be charged the full price for one year upfront.
I already have a Luminar Pro Subscription. Do I need Luminar Prime?
Generally, no — you do not need Luminar Prime if you already have an active Luminar Pro Subscription.
While the Luminar Pro Subscription is a complete, standalone plan that includes the Luminar for Desktop app along with all features and future upgrades, Luminar Prime is designed as an add-on for existing lifetime desktop license holders.
- Luminar Pro Subscription: Includes the full Luminar for Desktop app, all tools released up to date (including AI Assistant, GenErase, GenExpand, GenSwap, and Restoration), and all continuous updates and upgrades (including Fall Upgrade 2026) for as long as your subscription is active.
- Luminar Prime: Does not include the desktop app. Instead, it upgrades an existing lifetime license with full access to all tools released up to date (including AI Assistant, GenErase, GenExpand, GenSwap, and Restoration), updates and upgrades (including Fall Upgrade 2026), an ever-growing creative asset library, and video courses. Plus, any new app functionalities added during your active Prime period remain yours forever, even if you cancel.

I have Luminar on several devices. Does Luminar Prime apply to all of them?
Yes! Your Luminar Prime subscription covers all Luminar platforms — desktop, mobile, and web. Its features and benefits apply to all devices on which you have the Luminar app activated.
